FEDERAL MINISTRY OF WOMEN AFFAIRS INSPECTS FACADO ORPHANAGE CHILDREN'S HOME ABUJA AND NASARAWA STATE RESPECTIVELY.

In a demonstration of their commitment to the welfare and well-being of vulnerable children, on 6th July 2024 the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs conducted a thorough inspection visit to Facado Orphanage Children's Home Abuja and Nasarawa state intimates them on ministry vision and objectives. This visit reinforced the Ministry's dedication to ensuring that orphanages and child care facilities meet the required standards, providing a safe and supportive environment for children to grow and thrive.

The inspection team, led by Mrs Hannah,who represented the Directorate of the Ministry non governmental organizations(NGO) ,was received by Amb Ngozi-Anih George (Mrs) Founder Facado Orphanage Children's Home Nigeria. The team embarked on a comprehensive tour of the facility, engaging with the children and staff, and assessing various aspects of the orphanage's operations.

The inspection focused on several key areas, including:

- Living conditions and amenities: The team evaluated the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall condition of the facilities, including dormitories, bathrooms, and common areas.

- Education and developmental programs: The inspectors assessed the orphanage's educational programs, including curriculum, teaching methods, and resources. They also evaluated extracurricular activities and character development initiatives.

- Healthcare and nutrition: The team reviewed the orphanage's healthcare services, including medical care, nutrition, and hygiene practices.

- Child protection and safety measures: The inspectors evaluated the orphanage's policies and procedures for ensuring child safety, including child protection protocols, staff screening, and emergency response plans.

The Ministry's visit aimed to:

- Assess compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.

- Identify areas for improvement and provide support.

- Strengthen partnership and collaboration between the Ministry and Facado Orphanage Children's Home
