OUR STRUCTURE

NOGALSS, as the apex umbrella body of NGOs and PVOs in the Non-Formal Education Sector, boasts an elaborate and dynamic structure that spans from the national level down to the ward level. This comprehensive structure enables effective coordination, collaboration, and representation of diverse stakeholders involved in non-formal education and literacy initiatives. The following key components constitute the vibrant structure of NOGALSS:

  1. General Assembly: The General Assembly serves as the highest decision-making body of NOGALSS. It brings together representatives from member organizations, stakeholders, and partners to discuss strategic matters, set policies, and provide guidance for the organization's activities.
  2. Board of Trustees: The Board of Trustees plays a crucial role in providing oversight and ensuring the organization's compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Comprised of experienced individuals with diverse backgrounds, the board brings valuable expertise and ensures the organization's long-term sustainability.
  3. National Executive Council: The National Executive Council comprises elected officials who hold key leadership positions within NOGALSS. They are responsible for the overall strategic direction, policy formulation, and implementation of the organization's programs and initiatives.
  4. National Working Committee: The National Working Committee comprises appointed officials working closely with the National Executive Council to execute specific tasks and responsibilities. They play a vital role in coordinating and implementing the organization's activities at the national level.
  5. Central Working Committee: The Central Working Committee comprises officers at the national, zonal, and state level ensuring effective coordination and implementation of programs within the respective zones. It serves as a link between the national and state levels, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  6. Zonal, State, Senatorial, LGA, and Ward Executive and Working Committees: These committees are responsible for overseeing and coordinating NOGALSS activities at their respective levels. They ensure effective representation, engagement, and implementation of programs within their geographic areas, fostering grassroots involvement and impact.
The significance of this structure and vibrant network of NOGALSS is manifold. It facilitates enhanced communication, coordination, and collaboration among members, partners, governments, donors, and stakeholders in the non-formal education sector.
