TARABA STATE COMMISSIONER OF EDUCATION DR. (MRS) AUGUSTINA GODWIN VISIT TO NOGALSS NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS, ABUJA

Abuja, 3rd July, 2024 - NOGALSS National President Comrade Noah Emmanuel had a fruitful meeting with the Honourable Commissioner of Education for Taraba State Dr. (Mrs) Augustina Godwin at the NOGALSS National Headquarters in Abuja. This meeting took place during the Commissioner's visit to discuss the challenges facing the Taraba State education sector and to chart a way forward.

During the meeting, the NOGALSS National President praised the Taraba State Government's free education program for basic and secondary school education, pioneered by the Executive Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu KEFAS. The Honourable Commissioner Dr. Augustina highlighted the Governor's directive that no child should be seen on the street during school hours, emphasizing that all children must be in their classrooms. The NOGALSS National President Comrade Noah Emmanuel advocated for an effective system to be put in place to ensure the sustainability of this initiative.

The Honourable Commissioner of Education Dr. Augustina also pledged to support NOGALSS activities and initiatives in Taraba State, demonstrating a strong commitment to improving literacy and education in the region.

Present at the meeting was a prominent member of the NOGALSS Board of Trustees, Pst. Isreal Olajumoke (One Man Battalion), and the leadership of the NOGALSS Project Team.

The NOGALSS National President Comrade Noah Emmanuel calls upon all NOGALSS Taraba State Executives and esteemed members to double their efforts in supporting and implementing these initiatives.
